It's with a heavy heart that we must make this announcement.
Rhythm of the River 2020 has officially been cancelled.
The 'Stay Safe MN' plan for re-opening has no date through Phase IV to allow festivals to occur in the state. The safety of our performers, attendees, volunteers and vendors is highest priority for us, therefore, we will follow the safety guidelines, and look forward to plans for our 2021 festival, July 9 & 10 at Fort Belmont in Jackson.
Til then, keep music in your lives! Dance in the kitchen, hoop in the backyard, watch online concerts and support those musicians who are bringing their music to your computer.
Hang in there, festies, and we will be back!

In 2006, this two day festival at Ashley Park in Jackson attracted thousands as part of Jackson's Sesquicentennial Celebration. After a year hiatus, 2008 brought the Rhythm back! The community called for it, so bands from up and down the river gathered together. We celebrate our cultural heritage, and welcome everyone to celebrate the beauty of the City of Jackson and our little bend in the Des Moines River. As with anything being nurtured, each year Rhythm of the Rivers grows bigger, better and stronger.
